Slavki (Latin Sylvia) is a genus of birds from the Warbler family (Sylviidae). They belong to the suborder of songbirds. Slavki are one of the larger genera within their family, which is why they gave it its name. These include about 26 species. Slavki live in forests and dense bushes, but some species also take root in gardens. Their singing is often loud and specific, and by it they can be easily distinguished from other birds. Whitethroats are colored gray-brown and can move dexterously in dense thickets.
