On February 24, one bird was seen in Yaxchilan (Chiapas). Sergei Volkov went for a long time after the flying crown and, finally, took this photo.

On February 21, we saw jays in a community of birds feeding near a column of leaf-cutter ants 5 km east of the city of Felipe Carrillo Puerto, Quintana Roo.

March 1, a group of birds in the trees near Arista (Arista, Chiapas).

Synonym: Steller's Black-headed Blue Jay.

On February 27, we met on the mountain in the Orquideas Moxviquil OM botanical garden in San Cristobal (San Cristobal de las Casas, Chiapas).
I deliberately left the group behind to take some photos of these restless birds. To my regret, there are only tails in the photo.

Revert spelling of Ptilogonys to the original spelling Ptiliogonys... Auk 130: 566. AOU 54th supplement. 2013.

Synonym: Gray silk waxwing, Ptilogonys cinereus.

Endemic to Mexico and Guatemala.

Birds were seen on the mountain near San Cristobal airport (San Cristobal de las Casas, Chiapas) on February 27. Pine forest with oaks, height 2430 m.
Met on the trees in the mountains of the South Sierra Madre (Sierra Madre del Sur, Oaxaca) on March 5.
On 6 March there are many whistles on the pines near Monte Alban, Oaxaca.
On March 7, we met in the town of La Cumbre (La Cumbre Ixtepeji, Sierra Norte, Oaxaca).
On March 9, seen in a pine forest on a mountain in the vicinity of the former Sima station in the suburbs of Mexico City (Estacion La Cima, Mexico City).

On 5 March, several birds were feeding over the Presa Piedra Azul reservoir (Oaxaca).

On February 19, several birds flew near Parque Natural Ria Lagartos (Ria Lagartos, Yucatan).
On 21 February, birds flew near a road 5 km east of Felipe Carrillo Puerto, Quintana Roo and near a body of water on the road to Xpujil, Campeche.

Synonym: Gray-breasted wood swallow.

On February 21, birds were seen on a dry tree and flying near a road 5 km east of the city of Felipe Carrillo Puerto, Quintana Roo.
On February 28, a large number of swallows were spending the night, located behind the bars of a house, in the city of Arriaga (Chiapas).

On the evening of February 25, I met a flock of tits feeding in a dry bush on a hill near the town of Comitan de Dominguez, Chiapas.
Sighted at Tenam Puente (Chiapas) on 26 February.
Photographed on March 5 in the mountains of the South Sierra Madre (Teotitlan del Valle, Sierra Madre del Sur, Oaxaca).
Flocks of birds were seen near Monte Alban (Oaxaca) on 6 March.
On March 9, we were greeted at the parking lot in the Mexico City Ecopark (Parque Ecologico Xochimilco, Mexico D.F.).

Synonyms: Mexican Wren, White-browed Wren, Troglodytes albinucha, Thryothorus albinucha albinucha.

It is accepted by some authors as a separate species of Troglodytes albinucha... Endemic to the Yucatan Peninsula.

19 February on the road next to Parque Natural Ria Lagartos (no photo).
On February 22nd, one bird in Calakmul Biosphere Reserve.

On March 9, we met at the Mexico City Ecopark (Parque Ecologico Xochimilco, Mexico D.F.). One bird was building a nest.

On 25 February, several birds were observed on the hills overgrown with dried thorny bushes near the town of Comitan de Dominguez, Chiapas. In the photo, only the silhouettes of the birds turned out.
